Dr. Chinmay Pramod Umarji

Dr. Chinmay is a gem of a person. I had reservations about internal scan due to previous experiences. He not just explained the need but also patiently heard my story and ensured that the check-up will be comforting. I trust his judgement for any gynac, maternity related problems. He always gives valuable advice and makes the patient comfortable.

Had first visit to the hospital, will be visiting multiple times as visited for pregnancy. The experience was good. Waiting time was not too much. Found the doctor friendly. Hoping future experience to be good as well.

The overall process is too time consuming. it took us more than an hr to just give the blood samples. Also tasks are done too slow by taking their own time

In the 7th month of pregnancy we were searching a hospital for delivery, till now we had discussions with few famous hospitals which were also recommended by regular consultant BUT we were not satisfied the way they have promoted C-section delivery along with their NICU facility!!!!

We continued our search online for suitable hospital there only we got to know about Umarji Mother and Child Care Hospital, There were no any relevant references, we only gone through Google and Practo reviews and decided to visit the hospital. (A Big Thank You to all the reviewers, if you like or dislike anything please review it, it really helps a lot)

Our 1st experience with Dr. Chinmay was nice, he is very friendly, he will address all your queries patiently, will explain everything in detail, his suggestions makes sense and especially you will feel relax which is most important during these days.!

After that we continued to visit Umarji hospital for upcoming follow ups, we used to travel from other corner of city (35 km to & fro) for every week checkup and was all worth it! As we delivered a healthy baby boy through normal delivery at Umarji mother & child care hospital , Baner. with two major conditions 1) Potty 2 ) Cord around the Neck (and you know these are the most common reasons for C-section delivery in India)

Our experience pre and Post delivery was far better than expected. We think it is one of the Great hospital in Pune who promotes natural birth, our personal experience is very satisfactory.

The policy of hospital to allow the husband to be with his wife during the delivery is awesome! We had experience this which was really amazing (it also represent the transparency and true efforts of doctors).

In this era of corruption, it was genuine experience we had here, we just hope the hospital care and culture keeps excelling and set an example for all other hospitals out there.

I wanted to go for normal delivery as it insures better health and immunity for mother and child. Also, I wished to take care of my baby from the day one, which is possible with normal delivery. I visited Dr. Chinmay Umarji after reading reviews on google, but when I met him I was sure that the doctor is not just following best medical practices but he is very much concerned about spreading awareness which is very much needed in our society. I was amazed to experience the concept of birthing partner. I was all time accompanied by my mother which gave me tremendous strength throughout the process. As of now I have only heard of the concept of birthing partner but at Umarji Hospital I experienced the joy. My experience did not just stop at delivery process but aftercare provided was very good right from explaining the importance of Breastfeeding, health care after delivery for mother as well as baby was a great experience. The hospital is having huge team of doctors, nurses and other staff with best possible canteen facilities even during covid situation. All the doctors are very good with similar mindset as Dr. Chinmay. One more very important thing about this hospital is that it is equipped for almost every emergencies and facilities, we never had to go anywhere for any issue during and after delivery. We are fortunate to find this hospital well within time. Also, the hospital is very good with every parameter such as cleanliness, nurses assistance etc. One more very important thing about the doctor is that he conducts regular webinar about different types of delivery, pros and cons of it, how to prepare for delivery, aftercare and many more important issues where he shares important information all this taking out considerable time from his busy schedule. only thing that can be added to existing facilities is a wall clock in patient’s room. They do not medicate unnecessarily. They usually advise natural and helpful lifestyle changes and diet changes for problems like pcos.

I was able to conceive with pcos and obesity by following their advice.

Dr. Chinmay is friendly, easy to communicate with, although he is extremely busy these days. The other doctors at this hospital are great too. They are patient and explain everything diligently.

They encourage natural birth as much possible for pregnancy women. They also conduct workshops, yoga and music therapy programs for pregnant women. These programs help get rid of fear of normal delivery and also help build community of moms with similar due dates.

I have been visiting this hospital regularly for over 5 years as pcos is a lifelong condition and I trust their process more than any other doctor I have been to. I’m currently pregnant and excited to have my delivery here.

One problem is the wait times are very long here mostly because the doctors are diligent with each patient. Typically wait time is 1-1.5 hrs. Pack your snacks!

We visited Umarji hospital for pregnancy management as we got ecstatic reviews from our friends about Dr. Chinmay. In the very first meeting itself my husband and myself were convinced about continuing our pregnancy journey here as we had visited very reputable doctors earlier but no one has spent so much time with us explaining (rather counselling) us about pregnancy as first time parents and where do we stand. Umarji Hospital promotes natural delivery with least possible interventions which has been one of major reasons stick around. Regular follow ups with Dr. Chinmay had been transparent, educating and supportive.

My birth experience at Umarji hospital has been wonderful with staff being extremely supportive. I had long labor and was completely exhausted and even requested for epidural. However Doctors boosted my moral and ensured that I deliver with as minimum intervention as possible. I am forever thankful to Dr. Chinmay, Dr Shubhangi, Dr Bindu and hospital staff for helping us through this journey and bringing our son to the world.

M a patient from 2017 to Dr. Chinmay..... I underwent 3 abortion and overian drilling surgery ...as me and my husband were trying for a baby. I have PCOD hence d above mentioned things had to happen 🙃......and finally on 26/09/2020 without any major medical intervention I normally delivered a baby girl.... 😄😄😄😄

I dnt have words to describe Dr. Chinmay..... My husband always says just put his photo frame in d room.... As just by seeing him I feel good😅.. That much effect he has.... 😁.... Last few years I have been visiting him... He always greet by saying " Kashi ahes.... " With his sweet voice... And which brings a smile on your face....

I won't say all these years were sugery and honey coated but u get results..... And at d end dats wat matter.... ( all is not magic.... U have to put some effort to make it happen...)

Dr. Poonam, sister Asha ( ma moms name is also asha) throughout my delivery cared me like ma family..... Due to covid they cudnt be there....

I have just 1 problem and that is his waiting time .........

Please do not opt for dr chinmay at all. He does not care for his patient and baby. My story started when we consulted him for the first time and he said baby is small and we will induce labour. We got admitted to the hospital. His assistant drs ** ** *** ******* ** **** **** *** ** **** ***** **** **** ** ***** ******** started with labour induction. After 30 hours of labour they moved me to OT and guess there was no dr with me in labour room I was all along crying for help in the labour room, after 30-40 mins one assistant dr came and was just looking at me not saying anything then came dr chinmay he tried for normal delivery but no luck. Then he applied vacumm 4 time but no luck. Then he said we need to emergency c sec ad baby has swelling on his head ****** *** ******* ** ******* and c sec was done. But the real nightmare came right after I saw my baby he was all green he had swelling on his head , neck, eyes and I could not hold my tear . Dr chinmay told us that baby needs to be taken under observation in nicu because he had swelling after that he did not say a word no breastfeeding consultation given, no reason for baby's swelling *** *** ****** ******* **** * *** **** *** ****** ********* *** ** ***** **** ********* ** **** *** **** *** ** ****** **** ********* *** the bill generated was way higher then our imagination. ****** ****** **** ****** ******* ****** ***** ** ** ********
